SQA Tester LM LC Upgrade & Retail
DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary
The SQA Tester will be responsible for performing functional, integration, regression, upgrade, and end-to-end testing of LM/LC Upgrade and Retail functionality. The role will support the validation of upgraded functionality, identification of regression impacts, defect management, business-user support, and post-live validation.
The position requires a good understanding of lending products, Retail Banking processes, and the overall lending lifecycle, along with awareness of applicable banking regulations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review functional requirements, specifications, change requests, and business processes.
- Understand existing and upgraded functionality and identify impacted areas.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases for LM/LC Upgrade and Retail functionality.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, upgrade, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate upgraded functionality against approved requirements and expected business behavior.
- Verify that existing functionality continues to work correctly after system upgrades.
- Perform comparative testing between existing and upgraded functionality where required.
- Validate business rules, workflows, calculations, validations, limits, approvals, and transaction processing.
- Verify interfaces and data exchange between LM/LC, Retail, and integrated systems.
- Perform defect retesting and targeted regression testing.
- Support data validation and reconciliation activities during testing.
- Assist business users and stakeholders with functional queries related to LM/LC and Retail functionality.
- Support post-live and production validation following system upgrades and releases.
- Assist in analyzing production issues and identifying potential functional, configuration, data, integration, or business-rule impacts.
- Support root-cause analysis and identify potential regression and upgrade impacts.
- Identify upgrade-related risks, functional gaps, and affected business processes.
- Log, track, and manage defects through the agreed defect lifecycle.
- Participate in defect triage and provide functional input to support issue resolution.
- Maintain test cases, execution results, test evidence, defect records, and traceability.
- Support business and UAT teams during upgrade, Retail, and post-live validation activities.
- Provide regular testing progress, defect status, and business-support updates.
- Support release readiness and post-production validation activities.

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Banking/Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 3 years of relevant software testing experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
- Basic to strong understanding of lending products and the lending lifecycle.
- Experience with LM/LC, Retail Banking, Lending, or related banking applications.
- Exposure to application upgrades, version upgrades, migration, or modernization testing.
- Experience supporting UAT, business users, or production/post-live activities.
- Awareness of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Experience testing business-critical banking transactions and integrations.
- Good understanding of the software testing lifecycle and defect management process.
