We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Finance Executive with 3–4 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within the technology, software, SaaS, IT services, or digital products industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project accounting, financial reporting, ERP systems, budgeting, payroll, taxation, and financial controls. The role will involve monitoring project financial performance, supporting management reporting and decision-making, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
The candidate must have completed ACCA or CA and possess strong analytical and Excel skills, with hands-on experience in ERP systems such as Odoo or similar platforms.
Manage project-wise budgeting, costing, revenue tracking, and financial reporting for software development and technology projects.
Monitor project expenses against approved budgets and ensure accurate cost allocation.
Analyze project profitability, margins, utilization, and cost performance.
Coordinate with Project Managers and department heads to monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify cost variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Excel and ERP systems.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Perform variance analysis, financial forecasting, and management reporting.
Prepare financial dashboards and management reports to support business decisions.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper reconciliation of financial accounts.
Manage and maintain financial transactions within Odoo or similar ERP systems.
Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and project costing.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of ERP financial data.
Monitor and improve finance-related ERP workflows and processes.
Support ERP enhancements, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
Prepare and review monthly payroll, ensuring accurate salary calculations, deductions, and ERP postings.
Coordinate with HR regarding payroll changes, employee benefits, and final settlements.
Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate payroll and statutory documentation.
Support tax filings, reconciliations, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor departmental and project budgets and highlight significant variances.
Support cash flow planning and working capital management.
Identify opportunities for cost control and financial efficiency.
Assist management in evaluating financial implications of business decisions.
Ensure adherence to financial SOPs, internal controls, and accounting policies.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation for internal and external audits.
Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial information and supporting documents.
Assist in resolving audit observations and implementing corrective actions.
Recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and governance.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, HR, and Sales teams on financial matters.
Provide financial insights related to project profitability, pricing, resource allocation, and cost management.
Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Assist in strategic financial initiatives and process improvement projects.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
ACCA or CA (Completed) is mandatory.
3–4 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
Experience in a technology, software, SaaS, IT services, or digital products company is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP or similar ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, project accounting, budgeting, payroll, taxation, and reconciliations.
Strong understanding of IFRS/IAS and applicable tax regulations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, financial modeling, and dashboards.
Experience in project-based accounting within software development or IT services.
Understanding of software implementation, subscription/SaaS, and managed-services revenue models.
Knowledge of project profitability, resource utilization, and cost optimization.
Experience with financial automation, ERP implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.
