Job Title: Senior Test Engineer / AI

Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in software testing and quality assurance, including at least 3–5 years in enterprise ERP, financial systems, or large-scale digital transformation programmes
Role Purpose
The Senior Test Engineer – AI Enabled Quality Engineering will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing advanced testing solutions across functional, integration, regression, data, and performance testing streams within the IFMIS programme. The role will play a key part in implementing AI-driven testing practices to improve test coverage, reduce execution cycles, and enhance defect detection accuracy.
The role will work closely with Test Managers, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and Automation Engineers to ensure high-quality delivery of a secure, compliant, and production-ready financial management system.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios aligned with IFMIS functional and technical requirements
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall test strategy and test design standards
Perform end-to-end testing across ERP modules including General Ledger, Budgeting, Treasury, Procurement, Payroll, and Financial Reporting
Execute integration testing across APIs, middleware, and external government systems
Participate in data migration testing including validation, reconciliation, and data integrity checks
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using approved tools and frameworks
Apply AI-assisted testing tools for test case generation, defect prediction, and test optimization
Support risk-based testing by identifying high-risk financial processes and critical system workflows
Log, track, and retest defects ensuring proper documentation and root-cause clarity
Collaborate with developers and functional teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues
Support regression and system testing cycles across multiple releases
Assist in environment validation and readiness checks prior to execution cycles
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled testing practices
Ensure adherence to security, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Strong experience in ERP / financial systems testing (IFMIS, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, qTest, or similar)
Experience in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalen)
Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured)
Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery environments
Certifications
Required:
ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL)
Preferred:
ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst
ISTQB Certified Tester – AI Testing (CT-AI)
Automation or cloud testing certifications (optional advantage)
