About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Manager Finance to lead the organization's finance function, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will oversee financial planning, budgeting, project profitability, financial reporting, ERP governance, statutory compliance, taxation, and team leadership within a fast-paced technology consulting environment.

The role requires strong financial acumen, experience with project-based accounting, ERP systems (preferably Odoo), and the ability to partner with business leaders to support sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership for informed business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance through variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop financial models, KPIs, dashboards, and profitability reports for management.

Project Financial Management

• Oversee project-wise costing, revenue recognition, resource utilization, and profitability analysis.
• Monitor project budgets, billing milestones, WIP, and cost allocation across technology and consulting engagements.
• Partner with delivery and business teams to improve project margins and financial performance.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Present financial performance reports and management dashboards to executive leadership.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial closing processes.

ERP & Financial Systems

• Manage and optimize financial operations within Odoo ERP, including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll
  • Fixed Assets
  • Budgeting
  • Financial Reporting
• Drive ERP enhancements, process automation, and system improvements to increase operational efficiency.

Payroll & Compensation

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely salary disbursement.
• Review payroll accounting entries, employee benefits, tax deductions, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure payroll accuracy and policy compliance.

Compliance, Taxation & Audit

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, corporate tax, withholding tax, sales tax/VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal and external audits by maintaining robust documentation and financial controls.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure adherence to company policies and financial SOPs.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Monitor organizational cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Oversee banking relationships, payment cycles, collections, and fund management.
• Optimize cash utilization and support investment and financing decisions.

Leadership & Business Partnership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with business, sales, delivery, HR, and operations teams to align financial objectives with business goals.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives through automation, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or MBA Finance will be preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 6–7 years in a managerial role, preferably within the IT services, software development, SaaS, technology consulting, or professional services industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP or similar ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/IAS or applicable accounting standards.
• Experience in taxation, statutory compliance, payroll management, treasury, and audit coordination.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a global technology, software services, or IT consulting organization.
• Knowledge of project-based billing models (Time & Material, Fixed Price, Managed Services).
• Experience with financial dashboards, business intelligence tools (Power BI/Tableau), and finance process automation.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and software services financial metrics, including ARR, MRR, gross margin, utilization, and project profitability.
