DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary 

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance modules, with a strong focus on migrating financial processes and data from Odoo ERP. 

The role involves working closely with Finance, Business, and Technology teams to analyze business requirements, configure financial modules, support migration activities, validate financial data, and ensure successful system adoption. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring financial operations are accurately transitioned from Odoo to Business Central while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and operational continuity. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyze business and finance requirements and translate them into Business Central configurations 
  • Lead and support finance process migration from Odoo ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 
  • Configure and validate Business Central finance modules and financial workflows 
  • Perform finance data migration, validation, reconciliation, and post-migration verification 
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business stakeholders to ensure system alignment with operational requirements 
  • Support UAT, go-live activities, and post-implementation stabilization 
  • Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, and process mapping artifacts 
  • Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions 
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and provide recommendations for resolution 
  • Ensure adherence to implementation standards, data governance, and financial controls

Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP implementation, consulting, or finance systems delivery 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 
  • Mandatory experience implementing and configuring Business Central Finance modules 
  • Experience migrating finance processes and data from Odoo ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial operations, and reporting processes 
  • Experience supporting data migration, reconciliation, UAT, and go-live activities 
  • Experience working closely with Finance, Operations, and Business stakeholders 
  • Experience in multi-company or multi-entity finance environments is an added advantage
