Position Summary 

The SQAE – Performance is an individual contributor role responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests across web and enterprise applications, with exposure to core banking systems. 

The role focuses on validating system performance, scalability, and stability under varying load conditions, particularly for transaction-based and integrated workflows. It involves close collaboration with QA, Product, Engineering, and infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure system readiness for production. 

The position operates in a structured, delivery-driven environment and contributes to quality outcomes through performance validation, analysis, and support for release readiness and capacity planning. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Design and execute performance test scenarios including load, stress, spike, and endurance testing 
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner 
• Execute performance tests and monitor system behavior under varying load conditions 
• Identify performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and system limitations 
• Analyze test results and provide structured reports with observations, trends, and recommendations 
• Collaborate with clients to understand NFR and propose the solutions accordingly. 
• Validate system scalability, stability, and response times against defined benchmarks and SLAs 
• Practical knowledge of application architecture, servers, and networking is required. 
• Perform API performance testing and validate service behavior under load 
• Monitor application, server, and database performance metrics during test execution 
• Support capacity planning and performance tuning activities 
• Ensure performance testing is aligned with release timelines and delivery cycles 
• Maintain performance test scripts, test data, and execution reports 
• Follow QA standards, non-functional testing practices, and delivery guidelines

 Experience 

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with focus on performance testing 
• Strong experience in load, stress, spike, and endurance testing 
• Hands-on experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter (preferred), Gatling, LoadRunner. 
• Experience in designing and executing performance test scenarios for web, Mobile, DB and enterprise applications 
• Experience in analyzing performance metrics, logs, and identifying bottlenecks 
• Experience in API performance testing and validation 
• Experience in monitoring system performance using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, or similar 
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, or project-based delivery environments 
• Experience collaborating with development and infrastructure teams during performance testing cycles 
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment to meet client requirements. 
• Preferred: Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech domain 
• Preferred: Experience in handling high-volume transaction systems and validating performance under concurrent user loads 

 Technical Skills 

• Performance testing tools: JMeter (preferred), LoadRunner, or similar 
• Test script design and execution for performance scenarios 
• API performance testing and validation 
• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Kibana, APM tools, or similar 
• Understanding of system architecture, application layers, and performance tuning concepts 
• Basic database understanding for performance validation 
• Analysis of logs, response times, throughput, and system metrics 
• Understanding of non-functional testing principles and performance benchmarks 
• CI/CD integration for performance test execution (good to have) 
• Tools: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent 

 Languages 

• English: Fluent (Professional Working Proficiency) 
• Arabic: Speaking or understanding – Good to have 

 Certifications 

• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) – Preferred 
• Performance Testing certifications (JMeter / LoadRunner or equivalent) – Good to have
