Position Summary 

The SQAE – Automation is an individual contributor role responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test solutions across web and enterprise applications, with exposure to core banking systems. 

The role focuses on improving regression efficiency, ensuring test coverage for critical workflows, and supporting quality assurance through automation frameworks and tools. It involves close collaboration with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to validate system behavior, including business workflows, transaction processing, and data integrity. 

The position operates in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment and contributes to quality outcomes through structured automation, functional validation, and support for release readiness activities. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Hands-on experience in automation of Banking, Salesforce, ERP systems, and other enterprise applications. 
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and enterprise applications 
• Hands-on experience in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Katalon and UFT. 
• Execute automated test suites as part of regression and release validation cycles 
• Assist in identifying suitable automation candidates to improve regression efficiency 
• Support test coverage for critical business workflows, including integrated and transaction-based systems 
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks for stability and reusability 
• Exposure to AI-assisted tools for test case generation, script optimization, or automation support 
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve test efficiency or reduce manual effort is an advantage 
• Perform API testing and automation for system integrations and services 
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to validate system behavior and requirements 
• Identify, log, and track defects with proper documentation and evidence 
• Validate bug fixes through automated and manual testing 
• Support CI/CD pipelines by assisting in automated test execution integration 
• Maintain test data, test scripts, and execution reports for assigned scope 
• Follow QA standards, STLC processes, and delivery timelines

 Experience 

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on automation testing 
• Hands-on experience in designing frameworks and executing automated test scripts 
• Exposure to automation of web or enterprise applications (Banking, Salesforce, ERP is a plus) 
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Katalon, or UFT 
• Experience leveraging AI-based tools to improve test automation efficiency, reduce maintenance effort, and enhance test coverage. 
• Experience in API testing and automation 
• Experience in functional and regression testing 
• Understanding of automation candidates and regression improvement concepts 
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and sprint-based delivery 
• Experience working with cross-functional teams during testing and release cycles 
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab 
• Exposure to database validation and SQL queries 

Technical Skills 

• Automation Frameworks: Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), Katalon, UFT 
• Programming: Strong hands-on experience in Java and/or JavaScript, VB. 
• Test automation design, script development, and framework maintenance  
• API Testing & Automation (Postman / REST Assured or similar)  
• Database validation (SQL queries)  
• Functional and regression testing concepts  
• Understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA practices  
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar  
• Version control: Git or similar  
• Test management and defect tracking tools: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent 

Languages 

• English: Fluent (Professional Working Proficiency) 
• Arabic: Speaking or understanding – Good to have 

Certifications 

• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) – Preferred 
• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer – Good to have
