Position Summary 
The Sr. SQAE is a senior individual contributor role responsible for managing testing activities within a Temenos Transact (T24) core banking ecosystem. The role supports quality assurance across core banking modules, digital channels (e.g., OBDX), enterprise integrations, APIs, and interface-driven workflows, and focuses on test strategy and test plan preparation, scenario design, test case and test script development, and end-to-end validation across integrated banking platforms.

The role is responsible for supporting structured test preparation and execution across multiple interconnected systems and parallel release cycles, including Temenos TAC-driven fixes (patches/hotfixes), upgrades, and vendor deliveries. It contributes to release readiness through accurate test documentation, effective coordination with cross-functional teams (Business, IT, Vendors/Temenos), and adherence to organizational quality standards, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end test execution for assigned T24/TAC scope (SIT, regression, integration, and UAT support), ensuring quality gates are met for each release.
  • Translate requirements, production issues, and change requests into test coverage (scenarios, test cases, and test data) with clear traceability and execution evidence.
  • Validate Temenos TAC deliveries by reproducing reported issues, confirming fix behavior, and executing targeted regression on impacted modules and interfaces.
  • Perform end-to-end workflow testing across T24, channels (e.g., OBDX), and enterprise integrations to confirm transaction processing and data consistency.
  • Coordinate with Business, Development, Integration teams, and Vendors/Temenos to clarify expected behavior, resolve test blockers, and manage defect triage.
  • Log, track, and retest defects; provide reproducible steps, impact assessment, and test evidence to support faster resolution and closure.
  • Support release readiness by producing clear test status reporting (coverage, pass/fail, open defects, risks, and recommendations).
  • Ensure test assets are maintained (test cases, scripts, data, and results) and remain reusable for recurring regression and future upgrades.
  • Execute API validations for interface mappings and service behavior as part of integration and regression cycles.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, including identifying automation candidates and supporting performance testing when required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing, preferably within the banking domain
  • Hands-on experience with Temenos Transact (T24) and Temenos TAC support activities (analysis, reproduction, validation of fixes/patches/hotfixes)
  • Experience in SIT/UAT execution and regression testing for T24 releases, patches, and upgrades
  • Strong understanding of core banking workflows and retail modules (e.g., Customer, Account, User, Funds Transfer, Teller, and related areas)
  • Experience in end-to-end integration testing across T24, channels/digital banking, and enterprise integrations
  • Experience in API testing and validations for interface mappings and services
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend verification
  • Exposure to test automation and performance testing is an added advantage

Technical skills:

  • Temenos Transact (T24) functional knowledge (core retail modules such as Customer, Account, User, Funds Transfer, Teller, etc.)
  • Temenos TAC exposure: understanding of TAC ticket lifecycle, fix notes, patch/hotfix validation, and release dependencies
  • Strong testing fundamentals: STLC, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and test documentation
  • API testing tools: Postman and/or SoapUI (REST/SOAP)
  • Database validation skills: SQL for data verification and backend checks
  • Digital/channel integration exposure (e.g., OBDX) and interface testing concepts
  • Defect and test management: JIRA (or equivalent) with evidence-based reporting
  • Automation (good to have): Selenium with Python; data-driven testing
  • Performance (good to have): JMeter for load/stress testing
  • Delivery ways of working: Agile/Scrum, sprint testing, and release validation

Certifications:

  • ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) – preferred
  • ISTQB Agile Tester (or equivalent) – good to have
  • ISTQB Test Automation Engineer – good to have
