About the Role:
Kualitatem is seeking an experienced Manual SQA Engineer with Banking Domain expertise to join our QA team. The role involves testing core and digital banking applications to ensure high-quality, compliant, and reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate understands banking workflows, SDLC, and manual testing best practices.
Experience: 4–6 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases, scenarios, and test data
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, and usability testing
- Test banking modules including accounts, payments, funds transfer, loans, onboarding, cards, and digital channels (web & mobile)
- Validate end-to-end financial transactions, calculations, workflows, and compliance rules
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and QA teams for timely issue resolution
- Log and manage defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Maintain QA documentation including test plans, test cases, RTM, and test summary reports
- Support UAT and coordinate with business stakeholders for sign-offs
- Ensure software quality, data integrity, and adherence to banking standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4–6 years of manual testing experience, with mandatory banking/financial domain exposure
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and defect lifecycle
- Experience testing web and/or mobile banking applications
- Familiarity with Agile environments
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation (preferred)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
