About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and authoritative Finance Manager with strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of local taxation laws. The ideal candidate will bring maturity, sound judgment, and the ability to manage financial operations across multiple geographies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide the finance team, streamline processes, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local taxation laws, including income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage tax filings, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Provide expert tax advisory to leadership, ensuring optimized tax planning.
3. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team with an authoritative but collaborative management style.
- Drive accountability, process discipline, and performance excellence within the team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, responsibility, and compliance.
4. Multi-Geography Financial Operations
- Manage financial activities for international entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with global finance teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Develop standardized reporting and controls across multi-country operations.
5. Process Improvements & Controls
- Develop and implement robust internal controls, financial policies, and SOPs.
- Identify process gaps and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements.
6. Business Partnering
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to support business goals.
- Provide financial guidance for strategic projects, cost optimization, and investment planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of relevant finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of local taxation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing multi-geography financial operations.
- Proven leadership: authoritative, mature, decisive, and capable of managing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems, ERP tools, and advanced Excel.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA (preferred).
